Hang mama from the Beam Scale

The list of lists and one item is the Beam Scale. Beam Scale a counterweight apparatus developed by the Romans that helps with small goods. Great I listed it, sold it, went to deliver three times and then nothing.Person goes home from work early, never returns and no communication outside of, can I get a discount this morning. NO and thank you very much for flakin on me and thank you very much for communicating and guess what that insurance office you work for? I will never switch since I can not even get you to follow through on a simple matter.
I realize I am venting, but perhaps this is the place I can occasionally. Other item to note, I am the admin and I can BAN you!!! I think I have covered it!

Vintage morning...

So we are on Friday and I am behind. I was behind on Monday, caught up on Tuesday and was stable Wednesday and here I am thinking what am I going to do next. So I have Saturday and Sunday to catch up. Make a list and get going on it.
This week was a bust and outside a visit from Bill and bringing the lockers, I have been stuck at home trying to get through the physical hullabaloo of menopause. Hate that I can only go only a couple of hours before having to run home and get rounded again. I am putting it politely really.
Update my FPTP listings and get going on my day. Ugh.....

Just hanging out, making a list, checking it twice...

The list of doom. No not really. There is this list I have and really it is an entire portfolio that has lists of things for each room, outside, each person, animals, etc.... it is a series of lists in which I can slowing cross out completed tasks.Although exhilarating at times, it is also daunting. So yesterday I got to mark off another item on my list: Rear fence. $1000 later, comfort in knowing that section is brand new.
So it is a lists of lists and then this weekend we went ahead and cleaned out the gardening shed.
$50 in items so far in the shed that do not even make sense for us to have. But also our trips to the dump have become profitable. Two ladders $40 and one door $30. Who would have thunk it? So is everything seen as a dollar amount? Absolutely! When your biz is about reclaim, salvage, recycle, repurpose, re everything.
So the list of lists and lists moves forward as I take another day into account.

You can't hide...

Neither a buck nor anything else. I can't watch the news, this is an election year and watching some of the candidates is just a spectacle. What am i saying? They are all a big annoying spectacle. So all you want to do is be in your work and ignore the fact that there is all this ridiculousness, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM IT!

So as today ends and tomorrow comes on with hopes that it was not real and those headlines were in the dark corners of my dreams, we wait for Thursday to come on us. Because that means then it is Friday and I am going to go off hill for inventory. So I am going to ignore Super Tuesday, Caucasus this and that and pay attention to my numbers and inventory. Of coarse my family, friends and my animal family.

So that was a declaration... lets see if it can be achieved.

Thong sandals, dirndl skirts and turning 50

I never thought it would be such a weird thing becoming 50. I have some reservations, curiousness and a mild case of anxiety. It isn't the age or the streak of gray hair, it is that now there is an urgency to do and be.
I found a quote I really like:

The most important thing I can tell you about aging is this: If you really feel that you want to have an off-the-shoulder blouse and some big beads and thong sandals and a dirndl skirt and a magnolia in your hair, do it. Even if you're wrinkled.
I love that because I know I already have been doing this in subtle ways, but now to do this without a worry or concern. I just want to be great and loving to my friends that are like my family, my partner, my offspring and my animal family. What I can give to others, what can I do to be a better me and can I wear those big beads with the magnolia in my hair? As long as I keep wearing black:)
As March approaches, I am reminded by one of the most important people in my life not here with me, Linda. This birthday seems empty in some ways without her, but at the same time she taught me to love and accept new people and experiences. She would wear the off-the-shoulder blouse except it would have some bling, maybe a few studs and definitely by a quality maker.
She also taught me go in with your eyes wide open. This came to the forefront as in yesterdays occasion. My friend Alexis and her husband were adding a new member permanently to their wonderful family. A baby sister for Will and Harrison. Little Jane has the Linda enthusiasm and sparkle. Although I was uncomfortable because it was all new to me, I pulled up my big girl britches and said, "it is new, it is wonderful and I will be happy I went." The moment of hesitation melted away and I went in with my eyes and heart wide open. Plus how can you resist such a great event, great family and this little face?
So I am definitely going to have a little Maya, a little Linda, a little Jane and a whole lot of me on this 50th hallmark:)

Many things and many projects

So I looked at my last entry and it was too long ago. I haven't gotten as much done as I had hoped but more then most. Reaching a place where things that have been sitting waiting for something to be done with them are getting things done with them. I walk past the Deco loungers in the garage knowing full well these need to come out and be worked on . I am a little scared and a little bit excited. I don't want to add anything to the selling hoard, so determined to move things along.
Today I have several things to wrap and send and then I am off to travel to Corona on an errand with a friend. When you are working your business, it is helping to work you. So I have come into a place where I can move along many sitting items and emptying out the group that sits in the garage. More to come....

The Eyes (I's) Have It

I found that this year we will see what comes. I have made in my mind, some major decisions about Wesleys education, my work, my surroundings and who I want to accept in my circle of friends. I am ambivalent about what about upcoming shows and I know Bill is too. I just want think to be tidy, completeand have direction.
I have become more forthright about those who gets to engage and who not be part of my circle.  So in the next couple months as things come to fruition I hope to have even more item marked off on my lists of tasks and what I want to see for my future as well as mu family.
I did take a short hiatus to blogging but all in due time as to a regular output of relevant info.
